Cosmetic Dentistry Pacific Beach

It’s July 2006 and exotic dancer Terri Winston is ready to make it big. Like every one else in the Sunshine State, she decides to hitch her wagon to the hottest money-making star in the galaxy: real estate. The problem with shooting stars, however, is they at last come crashing down.

Soon after Terri trades in her stiletto heels for stylish pumps to trade lavishness condos at Ocean Raton in Pompano Beach, it becomes evident the market is declining. With a major finance payment looming on the horizon, Ocean Raton’s delusional developer realizes more than slick ads are necessitated to make sales, so he calls on Terri’s distinguishable background and commissions a mercenary team of strippers to stimulate action.

The rollercoaster careens off the rails from there, weaving through the colorful characters, culture, and climate that shape South Florida’s outlandish landscape. From (erotic|sexual pleasure|sexually arousing sales events to scheming socialites, here not one thing is sacred on the quest for entitled riches. Or is it?

That’s the question Terri faces when it all at last unravels and the last hope is a face-to-face showdown with the past. With everything on the line and the golden ring in reach, an answer is required. At what price?

5Ride the Real Estate Wave with Ocean Raton
By Taylor
Absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. A brilliant satire that’s sure to be a new favorite. The illustrious characters only added to the twists and turns highlighted ingeniously throughout the book. Anyone selling, buying or living under a roof will find much-needed laughter and humor in an otherwise dismal marketplace. It definitely gave me a giggle as I sat in my over-priced Chicago condo!

5Oceans Of Fun!
By R. Greene
When you crack open the first few pages of John Manrique’s novel “Ocean Raton”, you might be inclined to peg this as a Carl Hiaasen-type Florida Noir novel. After all, it takes place almost entirely in modern day Florida, it is populated by a variety of offbeat and greedy characters, each one out-scheming the other and it has the requisite wry and humorous knocks against progress, development and Disney World. But as you continue along on this twisted and wickedly funny journey, you quickly realize that there is more going on here than in the typical Hiaasen novel. It has a harder edge, firmly aimed at both the solar plexus and the groin. “Ocean Raton” grabs you, caresses you and then careens off into unexpected and delightful places. It’s loaded with biting pop culture references. The basic premise is sheer genius and quite a blast. At its dark and greedy heart is a friendship between two strong women that anchors the book with a warmth in spite of it’s many wry observations on the deplorable state and character of modern day life. It’s kind of a crime novel, but not really. “Ocean Raton” is refreshing read, a crazed roller coaster with cast of very memorable wackos and strippers and real estate developers and all told with Manrique’s singular voice. By the time you finish, the last author you’d compare him to is Hiaasen. It’s fresh and unpredictable and in a class by itself. It’s that good.

A lot of twists and turns that lead to an ending you could never guess. Once the book gets going you won’t be able to put it down. Congrats, John, on a job well done. Look forward to the next novel.
