requires forbearance but works well overall

I have been attempting this product for a week now on my dog who has thick tartar buildup around the tips of her teeth. The two ends are shaped into diagonal points, not rounded, and are sharp. At basi I thought it would be difficult to safely scrap my dog’s teeth without pricking her but they are angled just right and they slope down in opposite directions so both right and left handed people may use them. My dog does not have much buildup along the gumline so I only expended a few moments scraping up there. The tips of her teeth are trickier. At firstborn I thought I would be competent to pull of chips of tartar but it didn’t work out that way. Eventually I just learned to be patient and begun scraping the tartar slowly. It takes regarding 10 scrapes to see it tardily building up on the scaler. I had to take standard breaks to let my dog adjust and relax but tardily it started out to work. I worked on her teeth with regards to 5 minutes a day for a week so far and they are looking good. I think this scaler is only meant for the outside of a dog’s teeth because there is no way it is going to reach along the inside. You just have to be careful the dog doesn’t squirm because you may end up injuring it is eye if you are not very careful. I lay my dog down on her side and point the scaler down towards her chin, not up.

When I took my Miniature Schnauzer in to have his teeth cleaned, my Vet told me that it wasn’t necessary to do a full cleaning underneath anaesthesia. She suggested that I do the fixed cleaning that was necessary myself and demonstrated how using this tool. Her visual representation included a finish scaling of his teeth. She likewise suggested that I buy the tool from Amazon as it was less costly than through her professional sources.

Great Product, great client service & shipping

Product arrived precisely as specified, in a very timely manner. The tooth scaler was very sharp, as I would want it to be, so it could break up the plaque. My dog is 8 and has never had his teeth brushed and after a couple of 1/2 hour sessions with this, they look amazing. Yes there was a good deal of bleeding on the gums, just like when a humane goes to the dentist, and I did slip once and bump his gums and they did bleed very briefly, but the trade off is definately worth it.

I think the client service is crucial to mention. The shipping was basically free and frankly I expected the tooth scaler to arrive in an envelope. But rather it was very well wrapped and then shipped in a padded envelope along with helpful selective information on how to use it. And it arrived very fast. Great doing business with this company.
